Largest Tournament in the world!

So Katie already blogged about our roommate adventure on her blog, but I figured I could still blog about it on the roommate blog. This is a picture of us (courtesy of Katie) at the largest rock, paper, scissors tournament in the world. It was pretty exciting. We got a t-shirt, hot dogs, cookies, and drinks. The highlight, of course, was the actual throw down. When it got down to it, we only had three options- rock, paper, or scissors. One wrong decision could throw the whole thing off. Talk about pressure. I decided to go with scissors first. I won. But it was best out of three. The next time we tied. You could feel the tension rising. In the end, I beat my opponent. The poor guy didn't have a chance. He was facing me, after all. I was able to proceed to round two. I got a hot dog in between, just so I could keep up my strength. It must have worked, because I won that round too. I was on a roll! Just when I started getting cocky, I faced insurmountable odds. Why were they insurmountable? Pretty much because I could not surmount them. That is when the tournament came to an end for me. I lost in the third round. Sad. I could have won $3,000, but I guess it was not meant to be. The food and t-shirts were pretty cool, though. Was it worth it? Yes. Yes, it was.

I'm Broke

So,basically I'm the toughest ever. I caught a rail boarding, fell forward, and put my left arm down to catch myself...my body flipped over, but my arm did not want to follow so instead it just snapped backwards and was such a nasty break that I will be getting surgery next week.

I fully intend to get back on the horse next season.

Oh and I'm kind of in love with my sweet emerald green cast.

Reuben

This is my totally sweet fish. He is a Siamese Fighting Fish, or commonly known as a betta fish. I got him for Valentine's Day along with some flowers from Jeremy. It was such a wonderful day. This guy's full name is Reuben the Great Betta Clover. He is Reuben the Great because we went to Jason's Deli (great place by the way... so good) and there was a sandwich called "Reuben the Great", so we renamed the fish from just Reuben to Reuben the Great. His middle name is Betta because Jeremy called him Betta the first day he had him before he gave him to me and we didn't want to leave that out and his last name is Clover because that's Jeremy's last name. Hopefully, I can provide for Reuben. He's such a cool fish and so chill. He's hanging out with me right now. He might even be able to see himself on the screen. Anyways, I couldn't ask for a better, more easy going pet. Thanks Jeremy, you are the best! I finally have my cute little fish..... love it!

Ode to Kristen

So I have no idea what an ode actually is. But here goes anyway.
Kristen-
she used to live here, but alas it is no more
we miss her dearly
along with her cocomotion parties,
her chocolate chip banana pancakes,
and everything else that is KRISTEN.
now the memories live in our heart while she lives in London...
missing us, no doubt
because let's face it, who wouldn't?
to finish up this ode of mine
dedicated to a roommate half a world away,
I would like to quote the ever quoteable Katie-
Much love, roommate!!

So...I know what you're thinking...cheesy much? And yes, indeed I am.

La Salsa

Salsa Dancing. Dirty Dancing. Havana Nights Style.
This weekend…“I did it. Guilty as charged” in the words of Dave “the man” Matthews. My newly discovered aspiration is to become a Sultry Spanish Salsa Dancing FOOL. Operation Salsa is now in progress. Some day that will be me. OH YES, someday it will be me.

soccer...

We (Me, Jenn, and Dee) went to our first intramural soccer game today. It was fun. We beat the other team in the second half. We scored two goals and they didn't score any... but they already had six goals from the first half, so we actually did lose. Thats ok though... then we have room for improvement. I was the only player that got called for a foul today. Yeah! You know it! I tripped this kid that thought he knew what he was doing... Ha! lol. just kidding... I didn't even mean to trip him. I was just aggressively going for the ball and then he ended up on the ground. Fun stuff. I haven't played soccer in a while and it was so nice to play again. We have games everyother Saturday so I will report on those eventually. Thanks for blogging roommates!!! much love!

An Unsuspecting Soccer Team and random

This is a lovely view of my beach.

Last night i had a dream that it was summer. I woke up and it was snowing. Snow makes me appreciate green summer months thoroughly. But i like snow too. WE ARE GOING SNOWBOARDING ON MONDAY!! I am stoked i live for boarding.

Oh yes, and Sarah, Amy, Jenn, Katie, and I have joined a soccer team. I don't know how to play soccer, however I'm sure it will be a blast. Our first game is tomorrow. My game plan is to just kick the ball in the correct direction. Its a foolproof strategy.
