The Law of Increasing Disorder

Exhibit A: My clean room.

Exhibit B: My very messy room!
So obviously it is possible to have a clean room, but what is it that makes it so messy? One answer: physics. It's true. It's a law of the universe, like Newton's laws of motion. What law? Why, it's the law of increasing disorder, of course. This law states that changes in natural systems tend to create disorder and the total amount of entropy (disorder) will either increase or stay the same. So the natural system of my room tends to create more disorder. It's all because that's the way the Universe apparantly likes things. Go figure. All those years of cleaning my room....who knew that the whole time the universe wanted it to be messy? I doubt that my mom would have gone for that, though. Too bad. At least there was some point in having my room so messy this time. Since I blogged about it, my room was messy for the greater good of the blog. Plus, now you all know why rooms get messy. Who knew blogging could be so educational?

Glorious Adventures and Longboards

How does one begin when so many delightful things have occured in such a short space of time? Well logically it would make sense to unfold this epic tale of adventure and glory in chronological order. So here we go:

Monday the 19th of the month of November:

Out fierce trio embarked on the tastebud journey of the century. We made caramel out of marshmellows. Not possible you say? Oh, but it is. With the slight of hand we magically transformed marshmellows into caramel....with the added help of a little butter and brown sugar. We will all have clogged arteries, but I think i'm ok with it. Next we needed something tastey to put the caramel on-the solution: Popcorn. We proceeded to attempt to microwave popcorn. This you wouldn't expect to be challenging. I could make microwave popcorn when i was 5. Even babies can push the popcorn button and have popcorn magically appear 2 minutes and 45 seconds later. Not us. We burned about fifty bags.
But then the light clicked! Why not cook it in a pan? They did it in the olden days so why not now? We just ripped the popcorn bags open into the pan and observed. The popcorn kernals looked suddle and serene....But not for long. Suddenly kernals started popping up every which direction! Mad pandemoneum ensued! Faces became blurred, bodies were running, and voices were screaming as we tried to stir the popcorn without getting pelted with kernals! Eventually though, the popcorn was complete. We poured our delicious caramel over the top, waved a dash of sprinkles over the top at voi la!

P.S It tasted divine.

THANKSGIVING
Ok so next we need to talk about thanksgiving.

These are the BEAUTIFUL turkey hands we drew for our thanksgiving themed FHE. They were perfect for the decor, and added to the festivity of the mood.
How was my Thanksgiving break you ask??
Oh well let me tell you:

1) The break was wonderful and relaxing, i shopped, ate, slept, ate, watched movies, and shopped some more with my mom. I especially enjoyed the moderate California weather. No homework allowed.
However...
2) I drove 10 hours in the car with this couple and my beloved friend Jackie. Now we all know that if your going to make it alive in a ten hour car ride you need the essentials: Music. And we AAAALLLL know that the only kind of music that is bearable for ten hours is good ol' rock&roll/ Alternative. These people hadn't quite grasped this common knowledge, so I passed the time enduring rap (not so bad) and Country (created by satan). The moral of the story is:

-Country listeners beware. Your CD/ iPod will magically die next time.

oh, yes and i also expounded my knowledge of domestic skills such as cooking. I now know not to put marshmellows in the oven. Ever.

*It was in this very kitchen that the "blog song" was born. Ask Katie or Serena for a rendition of it if interested.

THE TALE OF THE EPIC LONGBOARD

Attention Males: This longboard is the love of my life. It is my one and only. Apologies.

jk.

After many days and nights of mooching off of friend's longboards, i made the choice to invest in my own. It was origionally 150, but i totally got it for 80 bucks. I've longboarded about twice a day. No, the magic is not lost yet. Yesterday i longboarded to smith's and got groceries. Not so wise, seeing as its no fun to have a backpack full of heavy groceries. But it was still fun. Anything is fun on the longboard. Even Falling.
For example: Ben told me i could slow a longboard down by lightly dragging my foot on the ground. I tried it. and FACE PLANTED. haha
The week of November 25-30
This week We all came back to reality. School, Tests, Life. Only 4 more weeks til chrismas break. And the countdown begins.
*P.S My fellow roomates i hope i have satisfied your demand for a blog. It is so long you will probably never want me to blog again. haha and that might turn out to be true considering i never get online.
" Why don't you go Blog About it."
-Dee mama. Peace Fools.

Twilight obsession

This is the last book in the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer. Dee read the second one in one night and stayed up till 5 am! She couldn't handle waiting much longer to get Eclipse and she's reading it right now. I'm quite jealous...I have to write a paper that's due tomorrow. But tomorrow I will be sitting in the airport for a couple of hours. I've been waiting for Thanksgiving break to read this book because I knew that I would get sucked into it and be completely oblivious to the world. And tomorrow I will be waiting around in the airport...what else will I have to do besides read a good book? I am way excited!

equipo tres?

equipo tres means team three. first, we live in apartment number three of our complex ...second, we decided we are a team, I mean why not? we're all about team work....and third, spanish is fun to use just to mix things up a bit. oh and our URL means "we are team three." so there you have it....
somos el equipo tres.

Happy Sumo = Happy Serena

After school today I had to go and get some books for my guitar class so my teacher doesn't have to go on trial for murdering me for not having them for the third week in a row. This is where it all begins; the craving. I have been craving sushi ALL DAY. I haven't had it since August when I got take out from Ra at Kierland Commons with my brother. After running over to best in music, I went to target to get some more sweat pants. I seriously don't know if there is anything better than those things. I only have one pair and I practically live in them. I sleep in them, I change into them when I get home and I wear them to school at least once a week. I figure this must be overly exhausting for my poor grey sweats and thought maybe I should get another pair so they can have a break by trading off. So I ran in the mens section, grabbed a pair of small black sweatpants and hit the road, thinking I was 100% satisfied...NOT QUITE. There was still something missing. My mouth began to water as I texted google to find the nearest sushi spot. Hoping there was something closer than Riverwoods, I received a text within seconds telling me I was S.O.L. I took center street down to Riverwoods and there it was. The Happy Sumo. Do I want a combo, or do I want to order separate? So many choices. Spicy Tuna, California Rolls, Las Vegas Rolls, Lollipop Roll....Heaven. It was Heaven I tell you. Now for the decision...Hell...why? because I can't have it all. After debating for a good time I came to my final decision. Spicy Tuna and Las Vegas Rolls. 15 minutes and my taste of heaven would be ready for me. 15 WHOLE MINUTES? It seemed like a lifetime away. Borders Bookstore helped pass the time as I debated buying the 3-DVD combo of Oceans 11, 12 and 13. It was 20% off and quite a temptation, but I could not deviate from my origional mission...SUSHI. 15 minutes passed much quicker than expected and within seconds of checking the time on my phone to see that it had in reality been 20 minutes, I briskly walked back over to grab my food and hit the road. I walked in the door and there it was, waiting for me. I grabbed my

to-go bag (although I think I was a little more thankful to them...hard to believe after all those "THANK YOU'S" right?), hopped in the hyundai, and drove like I was in The Fast and the Furious back to our little place off 4th and 6th. I plopped on the couch, prepared the soy sauce, opened my chopsticks and uncovered the deliciousness that I was about to devour. It was incredible. Just what the doctor ordered and I savored every bite (even though my mouth was on fire from the potent wassabi). Worth every cent. Now here I sit, on our interesting blue and brown triangle patterened couch in my indescribably comfortable sweats watching TLC, completely content.

It really is a good Friday.

PS: Katie and I shared a moment today as well as my mouth fumed with heat from wassabi, and Katie elevated her freezing cold iced ankle, we simultaneously exhaled in pain.

Until next time....
